Our Personal Trainers are also experienced Sports Therapists. This means that they have a higher level of expertise in the rehabilitation and exercise for people with injuries or musculoskeletal conditions.
Our trainers work together with you to design an exercise programme to achieve your personal goals. Our patients have been helped to improve their fitness, develop a more healthy body composition, to improve sporting performance, and to recover more quickly and completely from injury problems. Advice on nutrition and exercise technique are also offered.
Our Treatment Process
In your initial one hour assessment, your trainer will discuss your history, your reasons for seeking personal training support and your personal goals. It is important that you feel you have a rapport with your trainer so that you can work together effectively and so that you enjoy your training session; so your initial appointment gives you the chance to understand how your trainer likes to work with patients.
Recommendations & Initial Treatment Plan
Programmes are tailored to your individual needs and generally comine personal training exercise sessions, strength and conditioning, nutrition advice and sports or massage therapy treatment for best results. Following your assessment a treatment protocol will be recommended to you.
Delivery of Treatment
Patients are generally advised to train at least once or twice a week for a period of 8 to 12 weeks to see real improvement. Your trainer will monitor your progress on an ongoing basis and regularly review your goals to ensure you are on track and motivated.
At the end of your initial training protocol your trainer will review your progress both objectively (e.g. re-measuring) and subjectively – how you are feeling and performing. It is important that your training programme is interesting and varied to ensure you stay motivated, so your trainer will develop an effective and enjoyable plan to take you forward.
To maintain or build on the fitness you have achieved in your initial training programme your trainer will recommend further training, on at least a weekly basis.
