The Warwick based sports therapists at Core have been hand-picked in order to offer you the sports therapy services that we believe are most important and valuable to you.
Whether you have come with a specific health problem, or with the intention of improving your overall health and wellbeing, or your sports performance, our sports therapists will support you to achieve the best possible results for you.
Alternatively, if you aren’t sure how to approach your health problems or how best to improve your performance, our Warwick based sports therapists will gladly make a recommendation on which treatment will suit your needs.
Our Treatment Process
At your initial massage therapy appointment our Patient Care team will ask you to complete a new patient form, which your therapist will discuss with you. Our massage therapists are all highly trained and experienced and several of them have further degree level qualifications as sports therapists. This means that the massage therapy consultations and treatments delivered at Core are especially thorough and effective. If you have been referred to one of our massage therapists from an internal clinician your assessment will be more focused on the specific areas of concern that have been identified.
Recommendations & Initial Treatment Process
Your therapist will advise the best treatment protocol for you and they may also recommend that you consult another therapist in the team if you have more complex problems or more challenging performance goals. The benefits of massage therapy build over time so a course of weekly or fortnightly sessions is generally recommended.
Delivery of Treatment
A combination of 30 minute and 60 minute treatments are likely to be required, either standalone or in combination with other treatments such as chiropractic. Following your initial course of treatment your therapist will review your progress and give you a forward plan for maintenance care.
If you undertake an initial protocol of massage therapy your therapist will review your progress with you towards the end of this programme. Regular massage therapy sessions have been shown to have many health benefits whether you have specific injuries or pains or not.
We recommend that patients have at least one or two massage therapy treatment sessions a month both for general health and wellbeing and to help prevent initial aches and pains from escalating.
