If you’ve had a recent sports or exercise-related injury and especially if it was a ‘contact’ injury we’d suggest that you book an initial consultation with one of our sports therapists or physiotherapist.
They are all highly trained and experienced to conduct an assessment and, if there are no significant underlying issues, they’re likely to be able to treat you and to achieve a significant improvement within a matter of weeks.
They’ll start by trying to get you out of pain quickly and progress towards making sure you’re fully rehabilitated as well as making sure that full strength and balance is restored not only around the injury site but across your whole body. Treatments including manual therapies, ESWT (shockwave therapy), medical acupuncture and strength and conditioning exercises may be recommended.
If you’re suffering with recurring or multiple injuries, or your initial assessment indicates that your injury has a more complex underlying cause, your therapist may consult with our Clinical Director or recommend that you see one of our chiropractors or another member of the team who is best placed to help you deal with the underlying issues as well as the current injury.
Our team also have significant expertise in helping patients to reduce their risk of future injuries and to improve their sporting performance by increasing their range of movement, core strength and biomechanical efficiency. Protocols might include orthotic therapy, movement repatterning and sports nutrition plans.
