If you have a diagnosed gastrointestinal condition such as IBS or if you have general gastrointestinal symptoms without a specific diagnosis, we’d recommend that you book an initial consultation either with our osteopath, Katie, or our nutritionist, Karen.
Karen and Katie usually collaborate in helping patients with gastrointestinal symptoms but to put it simply, Katie will tend to focus firstly on what’s happening physically within the organs of your abdominal area and relieve tension and discomfort with gentle manual therapy; Karen will tend to focus first on the biochemistry of your gastrointestinal systems to identify imbalances, deficiencies and inflammatory responses.
Women often experience worsening of abdominal symptoms associated to their menstrual cycle or menopause and the team can also assist with these hormonally-related symptoms.
Do you suffer with IBS or IBS-like symptoms?
This might include: pain and / or cramping in the abdomen; gas and bloating; constipation / diarrhea; difficulty sleeping and fatigue; anxiety and depression.
Our new nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner Karen Ward (also of @Meraki Nutrition) specialises in helping people with these kinds of conditions.
To book a comprehensive initial consultation with Karen or, if you’d like to have a free of charge 15 minute nutrition consultation first to find out if Karen and the Core team are likely to be able to help you:
