Reiki

“Reiki” (ray-key) can be translated from Japanese to mean ‘universal life energy, and it is also the word used to describe a system which can promote stress reduction and relaxation, which in turn can elicit the body’s natural healing response.

Treatment sessions can last anywhere from 40 to 80 minutes, and will typically involve the practitioner using certain hand positions to lightly touch the patient as they lie on a massage table (chair sessions are also possible). A discussion of any sensations that arise during the course of treatment usually serve as an adjunct to it but is not totally necessary.

Anyone who would like to experience deep relaxation and a stress-free space. As such, treatments can also serve as a useful auxiliary to conventional treatments for pain
